For my KCR clients - I talk regularly and aim to explain Connective Tissue, also known as Fascia. This amazing matrix is so important in our bodies, wrapping round every organ, muscle, blood vessel, bone, nerve and providing the support structure for everything. It moves as we do and you can clearly feel your tendons and ligaments, which are a thicker form of connective tissue. It can hold an incredible amount of tension, often protectively, and can store tension from past traumas that don't quite get released. When an animal escapes from a scary situation, it will naturally shake and this is the connective tissue resetting as the tension is released. We don't always give ourselves the space to or know how to let things go like that. When an area is tight, it doesn't get the natural flow of nutrients, oxygen, fluids and when I do KCR and Connective Tissue Release, I aim to get the tissues relaxed and open again. Hopefully you can visualise it better now! Isn't it beautiful?! If you're interested in finding out more, come and have a treatment ☯️
