Massage has been around for thousands of years and that's because it works. I love having a massage and I love treating clients. Because everyone is unique, the landscape of no two backs are the same. We hold tension in different places depending on our lifestyles, work demands, levels of stress, emotional health, history of injuries and such.
Some of that stuff we often 'push to the back' in order to get on with life and that's one reason Back, Neck and Shoulders massage feels so good. It softens all that tension and we relax around it.
The products of knots and tension that's built up in our muscles, such as lactic acid and urea, get moving on towards the lymphatic system from where they'll get flushed out of the body in healthy ways. We allow our bodies to relax deeply, our minds let go of worries and we get a beautiful perspective back on what matters in life. Our breathing deepens, allowing a greater flow of oxygen and nutrients around the body, enabling everything to work more effectively. Oils nourish the skin, reduce inflammation and as our muscles soften and stiffness is eased, we become more flexible. Pain eases, allowing us to think clearly again. We may sleep better and find we have better energy levels. Tissues heal, our digestive system works better having let go of stress. Emotions can come into balance as anxieties fade and feelings of wellbeing and connection to our bodies enhance our daily living.
If you have massage regularly, the effects are cumulative, your level of calm and ease in mind, body, heart and soul find a new level, pain and tension continue to decrease and, rather like giving your body a service, it keeps things working well within you.
Of course it works naturally with your body, harmoniously.
Time I had one myself!! Call if you'd like to book or ask anything, 07443 524281.
